Small Realizations, Big Changes

Hello friend,
This edition comes to you from a liminal space. I’m in the air. I’m in transition from one country to another. I’m in transition from work to retreat to vacation.
I mentioned last week that I had an idea! That idea came to me as a flash, and then I wondered about it because it would mean “working” during my vacation. As I felt into it, it became clear that when it’s an idea that’s ready to burst forth, it’s not work, it’s inspiration. It’s the crocus that pushes out of the snowy earth and blooms bright purple without warning. And so, I choose to birth it into the world.
The Summer Sunshine Series. Three Masterclasses in which I will share the brightest flashes of realization, insight and knowing from the wild ride of an extraordinary year. The shift from living a life that didn’t quite feel like it belonged to me, to dreaming my life awake. Stories about claiming what I was afraid to claim. Ideas about how you, and others, can do it too.
Each session will take place on Zoom toward the end of this month, and those who sign up will also get access to the replays for a full year.
I would love you to join me. I would love to share this with you. It feels big and important. I can’t wait.

Cracking Open My Reality
I'm thousands of feet up in the air, in a metal tube that’s carrying me to LA for a fifth retreat with my spiritual teacher and a group of women who just over a year ago, I had never met in person.
The thought “Am I crazy?” pops into my mind and I laugh at myself. If choosing to crack open my reality and continue to shift my relationships with myself, with time, with what’s possible in this life makes me crazy, then I guess I am.
I have no idea how my reality will shift in the next three days of ceremony and connection but I know it will. It always does.

THE CREEL

The world began with a woman,
shawl-happed, stooped under a creel,
whose slow step you recognize
from troubled dreams. You feel
obliged to help her bear her burden
from hill or kelp-strewn shore,
but she passes by unseeing
thirled to her private chore.
It’s not sea birds or peat she’s carrying,
not fleece, nor the herring bright
but her fear that if she ever put it down
the world would go out like a light.
